The Story Behind A Deck of Hope.

Out of darkness comes light...✨

Fifteen years ago, I was in one of the darkest seasons of my life.

Depressed and struggling.

My negative self-talk was keeping me down.

After months of feeling miserable, I finally decided something had to change. I grabbed a stack of index cards and began writing down encouraging, supportive thoughts.

I carried these cards with me everywhere, reading them over and over until they began to sink in. And slowly but surely the dark cloud over my head disappeared.

At the time, I didn’t know what affirmations were but the simple act of replacing my negative thoughts with positive ones gave me hope, shifted my mindset, and slowly helped me rebuild my life.

Years later, while standing in the shower, I got an idea!

What if I made affirmation cards that were beautiful and brought hope to people?

That single idea became A Deck of Hope and the beginning of Herstory Goods.

Now it’s my mission to bring hope to others. One deck at time.
